Ben & Jen travelled over from Australia to elope in Positano – the most romantic place I’ve been fortunate enough to visit as a Photographer and clear to see why they were prepared to travel half way across the world to share this moment together. The whole day was incredibly relaxed and initimate, starting with them getting ready together at the beautiful Casa Buonocore. Later they made their way down to the ceremony at the foot of the famous coastal cliffs – just them, me and the celebrant right next to the water as the sun was setting. The celebrant Rosario included a special part to the service by including two pots of sand (one from Mt. Vesuvius and the other from the Marina Grande beach) which Ben and Jen poured into another glass to symbolise this new beginning.
From the ceremony, we wandered the tiny alleyways of Positano creating images as we went, before heading up to Le Sirenuse (widely regarded as having one of the top views for restaurants in the world) to mark the end of a pretty perfect day.
The whole trip was kept a secret from their family, so it was such an honour to be only person invited along to document this adventure for two incredible souls and allow them to be able to share the news with images from this precious occasion on their return
I’m so thankful to now be able to share them with everyone else.
